Holly Berry, BFA | MASI Co-Director
Holly is a block printmaker and illustrator of several award winning children’s picture books and other products. The flora and fauna in and surrounding her farm and home studio are the usual suspects often found in her linoleum block prints and illustrations. Many of her colorful detailed compositions are also inspired and informed by a love of decorative and folk art. She was awarded an Individual Artist Fellowship in Printmaking from The Maine Arts Commission and is a member of the Boston Printmakers. Holly has a deep desire to share the joy and satisfaction of creating and making things by hand with students of all ages. She has taught and held printmaking and rug hooking workshops in many venues including the pre-college program at Rhode Island School of Design, Haystack and The Farnsworth Museum of Art. She earned a BFA in Illustration from RISD and was in the MFA Studio Teaching Program at Boston University. She and her husband have two grown daughters and live in Waldoboro with their three cats.
